Effects on Primary School Teacher Candidates of Developing and Implementing Jigsaw Technique Activities Enriched with Educational Games in Science and Technology Teaching Lessons

Abstract Introduction: The aim of the study was to examine effects on Primary School Teacher Candidates developing and implementing jigsaw technique activities enriched with educational games in Science Technology Teaching lessons. Methods: In study, mixed design used. single group pre-test post-test weak experimental pattern from among quantitative research methods a case qualitative were consisted 48 teacher candidates continuing their education at Istanbul University, Education Department Classroom Program during 2018-2019 academic year. II lessons “Jigsaw games” implemented. “Communication Skills Scale” “Opinion Form Jigsaw Technique Enriched Educational Games” (JTEEG) used as data collection tools. SPSS 16 program content analysis method for analysis. Results: When obtained examined, it determined that there statistically significant differences between mean scores communication skills scale favor post-test. Based findings stated opinions including themes “Positive Opinions”, “Negative “Preferring “and” Suggestions related changes”. It also observed majority indicated positive opinions. Discussion: is important who will be educating students future develop skill levels order improve students. As can understood results present JTEEG effective classroom candidates.
